High speed chase leads to man's arrest for attempted murder
A man has been arrested for attempting to murder his mother's boyfriend, but not before he led police on a high speed chase.
30-year-old Harvey Britton, of Gaylord, was arrested for assaulting his mother's boyfriend outside their home in Gaylord.
Britton approached the man and attempted to cut his throat. There was a struggle and the victim's chin was cut with the knife.
Britton went inside the home and locked the door. When he left the residence, officers pursued him and their chase reached nearly 105 miles per hour.
Britton had made several statements that the victim couldn't protect Britton's mother.
He is being charged with assault with intent to commit murder and fleeing a police officer. He pled not guilty to those charges.
