High wind causes partial shutdown of Mackinac Bridge
High winds caused a partial shutdown of the Mackinac Bridge Monday morning.
High profile vehicles such as semi-trucks and campers were not allowed to cross the bridge until around 10:20 a.m and were being escorted at 20 miles per hour.
The Bridge Authority now says it is in "escort mode."
Passenger cars are able to cross.
The Mackinac Bridge Authority website and phone lines are also down due to the storm.
