Hit and run sparks police chase, drunk driving arrest in Alpena County
A hit and run at a McDonald's in Alpena sparked a police chase and drunk driving arrest.
According to the Michigan State Police, a 59-year-old man hit several cars in the parking lot of the McDonald's on US-23 in Alpena before fleeing the scene.
A deputy from the Alpena County Sheriff's Department tried to stop the man, but he would not stop the car.
As the man continued driving in the mall parking lot, he exited onto Grant Street and he hit a Michigan State Police Trooper's car.
The man was arrested for drunk driving and held in the Alpena County Jail.
The investigation into the hit-and-run incident is ongoing and will be forwarded to the prosecutor for a review of potential charges upon completion.
There were no injuries reported.
