Ice fishermen hit West Grand Traverse Bay for first time since 2009

For the first time since 2009, the ice on West Grand Traverse Bay Saturday was vast and thick enough for ice fishermen to set up their shanties.

While some spent the day fishing on the bay, others brought their pets out on the ice or simply walked on it for the unique experience.
