The Presque Isle County infant who doctors say suffered non-accidental injuries has died.
The three-week-old passed away Saturday at 3 p.m. at a Saginaw hospital.
Presque Isle County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in Bismarck Township on Thursday after the infant stopped breathing.
The baby was first taken to Alpena Regional Medical Center, and later to Saginaw where he was put on life support with head and internal injuries.
Deputies say the baby was at home with his mother and her boyfriend at the time of the incident. Nobody else was home at the time.
Presque Isle County Sheriff deputies, Child and Family Services, Michigan State Police, and officers from Saginaw are investigating the incident.
An autopsy was performed on the baby Sunday to determine the cause of death.
