      Inmate gets additional time for selling bath salts

      Jacob Zoyiopoulos pled guilty to one count of possession of analogues with intent to deliver

      An Osceola county man who is already behind bars was sentenced to additional prison time for possessing and selling bath salts.

      Jacob Zoyiopoulos pled guilty to one count of possession of analogues with intent to deliver. He was sentenced 18 months to 15 years in prison in the 49th Circuit Court of Reed City.

      He earlier was sentenced to 46 months to 20 years in prison in March of 2014 for operating a meth lab.

      The Traverse Narcotics Team began this investigation in August of 2013. They suspected Zoyiopulos of selling and trafficking large amounts of baths salts from China.

      A search warrant was issued for his home and Investigators found bath salts, drug paraphernalia and weapons.

      He was allegedly distributing bath salts for months in Osceola, Wexford, and Missaukee County.
