Investigators believe illegal drug use may have contributed to Benzie County death
A 21-year-old man died in a Benzie County home Saturday morning and investigators believe illegal drug use may have contributed to his death.
According to the Benzie County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a call shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday to the home on Weldon Road in Homestead Township.
Christopher Glen Hobart, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The initial investigation indicated no signs of foul play, but investigators believe illegal drug use played a role in the death. An autopsy is being performed.
A 21-year-old female who lived in the home was arrested for felony possession of illegal drugs. She is being held in the Benzie County Jail. Her name will not be released until arraignment.
The investigation remains open. The Sheriff's Department is not releasing any further details.
