Issy Stapleton 'doing amazing' as she recovers
Family members say the 14-year-old girl whose mother is accused of trying to kill her as well as herself is getting better every day.
Isabelle's aunt Sarah Ross said the doctors are calling Issy's recovery a "roller coaster."
Doctors said the recovery could take anywhere from six months to a year.
"Isabella is doing amazing today," Ross said. "Everyday she gets a little bit of her brain function that was compromised and she's learning to do things over again. But what we've seen is amazing strides in the last two weeks where....her motor skills are coming back, she's able to do her school work and she's able to do a lot of the things that she was doing before the incident ever happened."
Issy is out of the hospital and back at home with the rest of her family. Ross said the family is doing well while keeping up with their school work and other activities.
