Kalkaska man arrested for breaking into home, stealing safe
A 23-year-old Kalkaska man was arrested for breaking into a Kasson Township home in February.
According to the Leelanau County Sheriff's Office, Nicholas Perkins was arrested for 2nd degree home invasion.
Deputies say he broke into the home and stole a safe with $1,200 inside.
Perkins is in the Grand Traverse County Jail.
The Sheriff says Perkins worked with 22,-year-old Taylor Yaster, from Traverse City, to break into the home.
Yaster has already plead guilty to entry without breaking, which is a felony. He was sentenced to 18 months to five years in jail.
