      Knife, brass knuckles used in Mecosta County robbery

      A 17-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested Friday for armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.

      A 17-year-old Big Rapids man was arrested Friday for armed robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.

      The robbery happened just before 5 p.m. in the 300 block of South Third Street near Big Rapids.

      The suspect stole money from the victim using brass knuckles and a knife.

      Law enforcement says the victim and suspect knew each other.

      The suspect was arrested by the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety and Mecosta County Sheriff's Deputies.
