Lab results confirm human remains found in Wexford County to be missing man
WEXFORD COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- The human remains found on public property have been positively identified as James Hepworth.
The Michigan State University Forensic Biology Laboratory examined the DNA from the remains found on March 28. Hepworth's vehicle was found near Dobson Bridge and his remains were found about one mile from his vehicle.
The lab was able to then positively match the remains to Hepworth.
According to the family, Hepworth left work on Aug. 1. He was later reported missing to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office.
Further information is still pending completion of analysis by MSU Forensic Anthropology and Sparrow Hospital.
