Law enforcement looking for missing copper wire

Local law enforcement agencies are looking into several reports of copper wire being stolen.
The Big Rapids Department of Public Safety received a complaint of 200 feet of wiring being stolen from a worksite in mid-October. On that same day, the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of 25 feet of wire from a cell tower some time after October 7.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office received a report on Wednesday that several rolls of copper tubing, valued at $2000, was stolen.
On Friday, the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of 200-300 feet of copper wire stolen from an irrigation pivot.
Investigators have not been able to determine if the thefts were related in any way. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety at 231- 527-0005.
