Red Cross volunteer from all over the state are headed south to help communities hit by this week's severe weather.
One volunteer from the Northwest Michigan Chapter in Traverse City is on her way to Baxter Springs, Kansas.
She will join volunteers from Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Muskegon in providing shelter, food and supplies to victims.
"I'm going to be working with individuals and case workers who were affected," Ashley Yuill said. "So, getting them clothing, food, medicine, a place to stay just so they can take a first step to what's going to be a long recovery".
If you would like to help the victims of the tornadoes and floods, contact your local Red Cross Chapter.
