Lunch spans generations at the Grand Traverse Pavilions

Grandparents and grandchildren enjoyed lunch together at the Intergenerational Picnic.

Grandparents and their grandchildren enjoyed free lunch and music Wednesday afternoon at the Intergenerational Picnic. This annual Cherry Festival event is sponsored and hosted by the Grand Traverse Pavilions.

"We invite grandparents and their own children along with grandchildren to come to this event," said Pattie DeAgostini, director of senior events for the Cherry Festival. "It's always been complimentary and open to the community and we got a wide range of number of grandchildren and great grandchildren and it's really fun to see the children enjoy themselves."

The picnic organizers say the goal of the lunch is to bring generations together to enjoy the festivals.
