Update: As of 8:30 pm, the Mackinac Bridge has been reopened with limitations in place. All vehicles are being escorted, with flashers on. A 20 mile per hour speed limit has been put in place, and the Bridge Authority is requesting that no one try to pass another vehicle. The bridge had been closed for much of the day to severe weather and reduced visibility.
The Ice Bridge between St. Ignace and Mackinac Island is also closed. Crews have barricaded both ends and are urging snowmobilers to not cross.
A portion of US-2 in Mackinac County will also be closed due to low visibility and multiple crashes.
The Sheriff's Department says US-2 between St. Ignace and Worth Road is closed.
There is no timetable on when the road will be reopened.
