Michigan State Police were called to a home in Hayes Township Saturday morning after a verbal argument between neighbors turned into a fight.
Troopers say a 54-year-old Harrison man started the fight against his neighbor, a 47-year-old Lincoln Park resident.
The argument was over tree branches being cut on the property line.
Several other neighbors witnessed the fight and tried to break it up.
That's when the Harrison man hit another neighbor in the head with a brick.
The victim, a 40-year-old Harrison man, was taken to the hospital where he was treated and later released.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Clare County Jail on assault charges.
