      Man accused of shootings in Lansing, East Lansing formally charged

      Ricard Walter Taylor, 34, of East Lansing, was charged with two counts of open murder

      The suspect accused of the two fatal shootings in Lansing and East Lansing was formally charged Wednesday.

      Ricard Walter Taylor, 34, of East Lansing, was charged with two counts of open murder, two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, two counts of felony firearm and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.

      Taylor is being held without bond.

      Taylor was taken into police custody at a home on Coolidge Rd. after allegedly shooting a man at the Rite Aid store near the Frandor Shopping Center, then allegedly shooting another man at the home on Coolidge.

      The victims have been identified as Jordan Daniel Rogers, 27, of East Lansing, and Michael Nana Baffour Addo, 35, of Mason.

      Taylor is scheduled to be in court next on May 20.
