LEELANAU COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man in Leelanau County was arrested after deputies found his vehicle in a snowbank in Empire Township.

Just before 7:30 a.m. Monday Leelanau County Sherrif's Deputies responded to a report of a Honda in a ditch with the driver passed out behind the wheel.

The car was found on West MacFarlane Road, east of South Plowman Road.

Deputies identified the driver as a 28-year-old man from Traverse City.

The man told deputies his girlfriend drove the vehicle into the snowbank but deputies confirmed she was in Grawn at the time.
