      Man arrested for using checks stolen from relative at Cheboygan County businesses

      Daniel Earl Marx II, 29, was charged with one count of larceny in a building, three counts of forgery and three counts of uttering and publishing.

      A 29-year-old Cheboygan man was arrested on several counts for using stolen checks at local businesses.

      According to the Cheboygan County Sheriff's Office, Daniel Earl Marx II, 29, was charged with one count of larceny in a building, three counts of forgery and three counts of uttering and publishing.

      The investigation into Marx II, when investigators found that stolen checks were being presented to several businesses in Cheboygan County.

      Deputies found out the checks were stolen from a relative of Marx II. Authorities estimate he used the checks for merchandise and money totaling around $8,000.

      Bond was set at $10,000. He is scheduled to be in court next on April 21.
