Man charged in crash that killed two Traverse City men
A 57-year-old man has been charged in the traffic crash that killed two Traverse City men.
Patrick Doerr was charged with moving violation causing death.
The crash happened on US-131 in September when Doerr hit several vehicles that were stopped due to a backup.
Witnesses said he was going fast and never hit the brakes before crashing into the stopped vehicles, causing a chain reaction that involved seven different cars.
John Pomeroy, 49, and William Kochis, 30, both from Traverse City, were killed.
Pomeroy and Kochis were in the first vehicle that was hit.
