A Wexford County man could face up to life in prison after officials say he sexually assaulted two mentally disabled people.
James Weinert, 67, is charged with 18 counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct with two victims. The Wexford County Prosecutor, Anthony Badovinac, said that the two victims, a boy and a girl are mentally disabled and both over the age of 18. Weinert is facing nine counts for one victim and another nine for the other.
He is also facing four counts for being a habitual offender in the second degree.
Badovinac reports that Weinert was dating the victim's adoptive mother and had allegedly been sexually assaulting the two for a number of years.
