Man hospitalized after other man stomps on his head on Cadillac sidewalk

Josiah Hall is facing assault charges after police say he stomped on a man's head outside a Cadillac restaurant.

One man is in critical condition after another man stomped on his head outside a restaurant in Cadillac.

Police were called to the Roaring 20's Saloon around 1 a.m. on Thursday. Officers found a 32-year-old Cadillac man with severe head injuries.

Witnesses reported to the Cadillac Police Department that the man responsible jumped in the air and stomped on the victims head with his feet while the victim was lying on the sidewalk.

The suspect, 24-year-old Josiah Hall, fled the area before police arrived. He was found 15 hours later in Lakefront Park near the boat launch. He was questioned the arrested.

Hall is expected to face charges of Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm less than Murder as well as Felonious Assault.

Police say they are still unsure of the motive for the assault but the investigation is ongoing.

The victim is in critical but stable condition at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
