      Man in critical condition after hanging on to woman's car as she drove away

      A man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after falling off of the roof of a car that he was holding on to as a woman drove away on Old M-63 in Luther.

      A man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after falling off of the roof of a car that he was holding on to as a woman drove away on Old M-63 in Luther.

      According to Lake County Sheriff Bob Hilts, the woman from Luther was trying to drive away after a domestic argument when the man jumped on the hood of her car.

      Sheriff Hilts said the man was holding on to a windshield wiper as she drove away. When she turned the corner, the windshield wiper broke and the man was thrown from the car.

      Sheriff Hilts said the man hit his head and was taken to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids where his is in critical condition and being treated for life-threatening injuries.

      The woman has been arrested and is in custody, but has not yet been charged. Her arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday. Her name will be released after she is charged.
