Man killed in Manistee County house fire identified
MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- Investigators have released the name of the man who died in a house fire in Manistee County.
The Manistee County Medical Examiner identifies the victim as Brian Brantley, 45 of Brethren.
The fire happened around 1:50 a.m. Tuesday at 17611 Pineview Drive in Thompsonville.
The sheriff's office says Brantley's body was found in the bathroom of the home.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate there were no signs of blunt trauma, no injuries, no ballistic evidence or no sharp force wounds to Brantley's body, said the medical examiner.
The Manistee County Sheriff's Office is still waiting for toxicology reports to determine the final cause and determination of Brantley's death.
