Man on probation for theft arrested for stealing more

A 30-year-old man from Taylor is behind bars, accused of stealing while on probation.
Brian Keith Panek is facing three counts of felony larceny/fraud and a violation of probation.
According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, Panek stole a debit/credit card from an ATM in Big Rapids and used it at several local businesses.
Panek was already on probation for felony theft.
He is now facing a habitual offender charge since he has been convicted of an auto theft felony, felony obstruction of police, felony check fraud, as well as two other retail fraud misdemeanors.
Panek was arranged in the 77th District Court.
He remains in custody at the Mecosta County Jail on a $100,000 bond
