Man pleads guilty in a second county for armed robberies
The man who pleaded guilty to robbing a Cadillac bank in Wexford County has now pleaded guilty to two other armed robberies in Clare County last Wednesday.
Clinton Cole pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery as well as fourth habitual offender in Clare County.
Cole already pleaded guilty to armed robbery charges in April in Wexford County. He was sentenced to 171-372 months in prison.
On Oct. 4, Cole demanded money from the Wexford Community Credit Union in Cadillac and also threatened to blow up the school across the street.
A few hours later, the Chemical Bank in Harrison reported an armed robbery that also threatened to shoot the children at the local school if he was not given money.
About two hours later, there was another armed robbery reported at the Chemical Bank in Hayes Township that matched the description of the suspect from the previous robbery.
Deputies arrested the two people inside, Ruth Loomis and Clinton Cole.
Ruth Lomis is currently serving 12-months in the Clare County Jail after pleading guilty to two counts of accessory after the fact.
Cole is scheduled to be sentenced in Clare County on July 14th.
