Man pleads guilty to 'ghost tows' in Oceana County
Paul Rosse pleaded guilty Monday after turning himself in for setting up several 'ghost tows' in Hart.
According to the Oceana County Sheriff's Office, a 'ghost tow' is where the suspect places a fake call to AAA for a tow, then AAA gets the request and sends it to the local AAA facility, where Rosse's company would collect the call and not send out the truck.
The Sheriff's office was notified by AAA and Rosse's AA contract was cancelled.
Rosse is being charged on one count of fraud and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 26.
