MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man was taken to the hospital after a crash involving a county vehicle.

Manistee County sheriff's deputies responded to a personal injury crash on 9 Mile Road just East of Wiitala Road in Marilla Township around 10:40 a.m. Wednesday.

According to investigators, an 84-year-old Brethren man didn't see the Manistee County Road Commission tractor mowing and hit its left rear tire.

The collision caused the vehicle to roll multiple times until coming to a final rest.

The Maple Grove Township Fire Department used the jaws of life to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

The man suffered a cut to the head and complained of injuries to his side.

There are no reported injuries to the operator of the tractor.

Investigators said a seatbelt was being worn by the driver.
