Man sent to hospital after crash with propane truck
ANTRIM COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A man is recovering in the hospital after a crash with a propane truck.
It happened around 10:27 a.m. Wednesday on Southeast Torch Lake Drive north of Davock Road in Forest Home Township.
According to the Antrim County Sheriff's Office, Thomas Ward, 52 of Bellaire, was driving southbound when he crossed the centerline and struck an Amerigas propane truck head-on.
Investigators say Ward airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Sheriff Daniel Bean says the driver of the truck, Matthew Thomas, 29 of East Jordan, was uninjured.
Investigators say both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol is not a factor.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
