Man sentenced to life in prison for 2013 murder
The second suspect charged in the shooting death of a 64-year-old man in 2013 was sentenced to life in prison on Monday.
Toby Cook was charged with homicide and possession of a firearm after pleading 'no contest' on June 12, 2014 to second degree murder.
The other suspect, Sarah Kaminski, 20 of Manistee, is scheduled to be sentenced on August 24. She pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery on July 29, 2013. As part of her plea agreement, her sentenced was delayed to testify against Cook.
State Troopers were called to a home in Norman Township in April of 2013 after residents reported they have not heard from a friend in long period of time.
When Troopers arrived, they found Dennis Guenthardt shot to death inside of his Manistee County home.
According to Investigators, it appears robbery might have been a motive.
