Officials believe Luke Eaves returned home from work Friday afternoon, got in his 1999 blue Ford F-150, like this one, and left in an unknown direction.

Newaygo County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who went missing Friday afternoon.

According to the Sheriff's Department, Luke William Eaves, 40, left his house in Troy Township on Friday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. and has not been heard from since. He reportedly sent a text message to his wife around that time saying "goodbye" and sent a similar text to his step-daughter.

Officials believe Eaves returned home from work Friday afternoon, got in his 1999 blue Ford F-150 and left in an unknown direction. He has not shown up for work since and has not been seen at any of his regular local establishments.

The Newaygo County Sheriff's Office has stepped up patrols in the area along the back-roads and two-tracks to try to find the truck.
