A 23-year-old Ferris State student has turned himself in for furnishing alcohol to minors.

Officials say Robert Joseph Calangelo, of Saginaw, is responsible for furnishing alcohol to minors in the case of 18-year-old Nicholas Suttles who was found intoxicated, near death in a snow bank in February.

Suttles was believed to be dead when he was found in a snow covered ditch on February 15 in the 800 block of Division St. in Big Rapids. EMS crews were able to revive him. Officials estimated that he had been in the snow bank for 5 hours without a coat.
