A man who grew up in Manistee was shot and killed at an apartment in Dayton, Ohio over the weekend.
According to WDTN-TV, the shooting happened just before 11:30 Saturday night when witnesses said two men knocked on the door, then forced the man who answered back inside where the victim, Allen Lindeman, was shot twice.
WDTN-TV is reporting that police are pointing towards robbery as a likely motive. They say Lindeman was known to carry cash and "flaunt it" at different pool halls.
Lindeman's sister, a northern Michigan resident, said Lindeman, who lives in Plainwell, sold machine parts and traveled throughout the Midwest. She said she does not know what brought him to Dayton.
