Manistee County woman missing, vehicle found in Upper Peninsula

Malvika Bala Deshmukh from Manistee County was reported missing to the Michigan State Police in Cadillac on Sept. 14. State Police say Deshmukh was last seen by friends on Sept. 9.

(WPBN/WGTU)-- Michigan State Police are asking for help finding a 28-year-old missing woman.

Malvika Bala Deshmukh from Manistee County was reported missing to the Michigan State Police Cadillac Post on Sept. 14. State Police say Deshmukh was last seen by friends on Sept. 9.

Deshmukh is described to be 5'1'' with black hair and brown eyes.

On Friday, State Police say Deshmukh's vehicle was found in a remote area near the North County Trail head off of the Rock River Road in Alger County.

A search was conducted by the U.S. Forest Service, Alger County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police and the DNR. No evidence of Deshmukh’s whereabouts was found during the search.
