Manistee man charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct
MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A Manistee man could face life in prison after being charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct.
The Manistee City Police Department conducted a month-long investigation with the help of the Michigan State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Division and the Manistee County Child Advocacy Center.
Investigators say Carl Wiertalla Jr, 50, was arrested as a result of the investigation.
Wiertalla was arraigned Thursday on three counts of criminal sexual conduct- first degree.
He is being held in the Manistee County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
Criminal sexual conduct first degree carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
