A Kalamazoo woman was stopped by TSA at Cherry Capital Airport Friday after officers spotted a martial arts weapon known as "Cat Eyes" in her carry-on.
TSA contacted the Traverse City Police who confiscated the weapon.
The woman was flying to Detroit and was allowed to continue on without the weapon.
TSA is reminding passengers that weapons aren't permitted on airplanes. Passengers who do bring prohibited items to the TSA checkpoint are subject to possible criminal charges.
