TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) -- Meijer is making shopping more convenient for their northern Michigan customers as the company just announced they are expanding their home delivery service to Traverse City.

Meijer and their home delivery partner, Shipt, are bringing store-to-door convenience to Traverse City and other communities along Michigan's lakeshore.

This service includes a personal shopper for your groceries and daily essentials and then deliver them right to your doorstep.

Shipt shoppers will deliver in Grand Haven, Muskegon, Benton Harbor, St. Joseph, Holland, Saugatuck, Stevensville and South Haven beginning on May 25 and Traverse City beginning on May 23.

You can sign up for a Shipt membership for $99 per year. For a limited time, new members will also get $25 off their first order. Delivery is free for orders more than $35. If your order is less than $35 then a flat $7 delivery fee is added.

Shoppers can go online to pick out their everyday essentials, perishables, pet food as well as health and beauty care items. Personal shoppers then hand-pick the items and deliver your order within a preferred one-hour window.

Meijer will continue to roll out this service to other markets across the Midwest throughout the year.
