      Meth lab found in Grand Traverse County home, three arrested

      Nicholas Ramey was arraigned by video conference on Monday Aug. 18 on charges of maintaining a meth lab.

      Three people are in the Grand Traverse County Jail after drugs and a meth lab were found at a home in Garfield Township Wednesday night.

      A 31-year-old man, 22-year-old woman from Traverse City, as well as an 18-year-old man from Detroit were all arrested at the scene.

      The Grand Traverse County Prosecutor has released two names for the accused meth lab, Nicholas Ramey and Brittany Skillman. Both Ramey and Skillman were arraigned by video conference on Monday Aug. 18 on charges of maintaining a meth lab.

      According to the Traverse Narcotics Team, a search was conducted at the home on Lafranier Rd. after several reported tips. The TNT found heroin was being distributed and meth was being manufactured inside the home.

      Officials are saying that they found chemicals used in cooking meth as well as items related to the use and sale of illegal narcotics.
