Michigan-born dog has some new digs with the First Family

A Michigan-born pup now calls the White House home.

The White House announced the First Family's new dog Sunny arrived Monday. Sunny was born in Michigan in June, 2012. Sunny is a Portuguese Water Dog, just like President Obama's dog Bo.

, the Obama's say Sunny is the perfect little sister for Bo, full of energy and very affectionate. The First Family reportedly picked her name because of her cheerful personality.

In honor of Sunny, the Obamas are making a donation to the Washington Humane Society.
