A Buckley woman, who is seven months pregnant, is behind bars after leading deputies on a chase with her two-year-old daughter in the car.
Deputies with the Wexford County Sheriff's Office said they tried pulling the woman over Wednesday night on Precision Drive in the Village of Buckley.
The driver sped away from the deputies, leading them on a chase through a wooded area, which was barely wide enough for a car to navigate. After a short chase the suspect's vehicle crashed into a group of trees.
Sheriff Gary Finstrom says, "She advised that her two-year old was in the back seat. The child was in an approved child safety seat. She also advised officers she was seven months pregnant."
Investigators say her alcohol level was more than two times the legal limit.
Sheriff Gary Finstrom says, "She has a very extensive record involving a lot of alcohol charges going back to minor in possession."
Lindsey Morgan, 31, is charged with Fleeing and Eluding, Operating While Intoxicated-3rd Offense and Driving on a Suspended License. The Wexford County Prosecutor is also working on pressing a Child Endangerment charge as well.
