      Motorcyclist dies after hitting deer in Mason County

      The Mason County Sheriff's Office said that Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids reported that on Sunday,38-year-old Frederick Holden from Scottville had passed away.

      A motorcyclist has died after hitting a deer in Mason County on October 1st.

      The Mason County Sheriff's Office said that Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids reported that on Sunday,38-year-old Frederick Holden from Scottville had passed away.

      Holden was injured on October 1st, at 8:21 pm when his motorcycle was struck by a deer as he traveled westbound on Washington Road near Darr Road in Eden Township. The Mason County Sheriff's Office said the motorcycle flipped over and landed on Holden.

      Holden was airlifted to Spectrum Health by Aero Med where he remained until his passing.
