Mountain bike race raises money for ski hill
More than 900 mountain bike racers gathered at Mount Holiday Saturday for the 5th annual Mud, Sweat and Beers event, which raises money for the non-profit ski hill.
Racers could choose from four different races, each one a different length.
Organizers say it's a fun event that helps keep Mount Holiday up and running.
â??You gotta have a place for kids to get outside, get off the cell phones, get off the video games and get fresh air in their lungs. When you go to the top itâ??s the prettiest view of East Bay that there is in Traverse City,â?? said Jim Kalajian, Mud, Sweat, & Beers Co-Director.
Right Brain Brewery provided all the cold beverages for the bikers.
