MSU pulls students out of Israel in wake of violence

The escalation of violence has forced many Americans out of Israel, including a group of students from Michigan State University that was studying abroad.

"I think the students understand why the decision was made," MSU Communications Manager Jason Cody said. "It's safe to say they are disappointed; they were in Jerusalem, that hadn't seen any violence yet. So they understand, the parents are grateful that we are taking the steps to make sure their children are safe."

The students were scheduled to return home on July 31st. According to MSU, all of the students are expected to be on flights home by Thursday night.
