It finally felt a little bit like summer this past weekend but a cold front will sweep in some thunderstorms and cooler weather by midweek.
Monday will actually end up being the warmest day of the week by a pretty wide margin. There is a cold front that will drop our temperatures but that will remain upstream of us Monday allowing temperatures to spike into the low/mid and perhaps a few upper-80's Monday afternoon. To go hand in hand with that will be high humidity making it feel even warmer.
The other story Monday will be the arrival of thunderstorms, some which could be on the stronger side. An analysis of the atmosphere for Monday does not support much in the way of severe weather, but some storms could drop some hail, gusty winds and heavy downpours of rain in a short time. With that being said, a storm or two could reach severe levels Monday afternoon/evening in particular so be aware of that risk as you head out Monday.
Thunderstorms will carry over into Monday night although with time will drop further south before ending Tuesday morning with clouds gradually decreasing. High pressure will then steer our weather mid/late week with significantly cooler temperatures. Highs will in general be in the mid-60's to low-70's for the rest of the week.
