Seven separate occasions have been reported that their unlocked vehicles had items stolen from them after 11 p.m. in the Timberlee area.

Items that were stolen include loose change, cash, prescription drug, as well as other items.

According to the sheriff's office, they believe an unrelated similar case happened around 12:51 a.m. in Suttons Bay. Deputies were called to an address on S. Shore Dr. for the report of a man lurking around a vehicle and nearby home.

A sheriff questioned the male subject that was jogging down the road. The suspect provided a fake name and was asked by the sheriff's what was in his pockets. The suspect dropped two items and shoved the sheriff to the ground and ran off.

A K9 unit was called to help track the suspect, but was not able to find him.

The sheriff's office says the suspect is described to be a white male, 20-25 years old, 5'10-6', wearing a grey sweat jacket with grey and white shorts.
