An organization that promotes stewardship of Michigan's 11,000 inland lakes will discuss issues such as invasive species and riparian rights during a three-day convention at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls.
The Michigan Inland Lakes Partnership meeting runs from Thursday through Saturday. It's open to professionals, students, local and state government officials, riparian landowners and others with an interest in inland lakes.
The convention will include discussions, workshops, tours and exhibits.
Bill Rustem, director of strategy for Gov. Rick Snyder, will be keynote speaker Friday.
Among other topics will be inland lake research, natural shorelines, lake montoring and youth stewardship development.
