While the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea sweep up the East Coast lashing that region with gusty winds and heavy rain, much of our weekend locally will be quiet, although we are expecting rain to sweep across our area by Sunday.
High pressure will build in through Saturday evening keeping any rain chances very minimal. We kick off the weekend Saturday with a mix of sun/clouds with much of the day and area looking great as dry weather will prevail. The only fly in the ointment Saturday would be a small risk for a few stray showers to develop in the afternoon heating along lake breezes. If that were to happen, the main areas affected would be along/east of highway US-131, but showers Saturday will be very brief if you do see them.
Skies clouds over Saturday night with a weather system now over Alberta, Canada arriving later Sunday. While a glimmer of the sun is possible early in the day, skies quickly cloud over with rain breaking out Sunday afternoon areawide into the overnight hours. High temperatures both weekend days will be up around the 70F mark.
