BATA also announced Monday that veterans and active duty military members can also ride for half off regular fare pricing.

BATA already offers half priced fares to students with valid student ID or BATA reduce fare cards.

"To kind of takeout some of the barriers that people considered if using it," said Eric Linguar. "Make it easier to get on and off the bus and make it more affordable for people who may not have as much income to be able to be flexible for transportation."

Looking ahead to next month, starting in November, BATA will begin a new pilot program featuring monthly commuter passes that are valid on all of BATA's fixed city loop and village loop routes.
