A 60-year-old Northport man was arrested Tuesday morning for his third drunk driving arrest.
According to the Leelanau County Sheriff's Department, the man was on probation for his second offense and for driving with a suspended license from a 2013 conviction.
A citizen called to alert authorities to a suspect driving south on N. West Bay Shore Drive from Omena.
Tribal Police were asked to help and found the car near Stallman Road and made a stop after seeing him driving erratically.
The man failed all field sobriety tests and was asked to submit to a blood test.
The driver was arrested for third offense drunk driving and third offense driving with a suspended license. He was also arrested on a bench warrant for a probation violation involving the second offense conviction for consuming alcohol and not taking daily breath tests.
He remains in the Leelanau County Jail. Bond has not been set.
