Oakland County man found guilty of sexually assaulting woman at bachelor party
A 26-year-old Oakland County man was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman at a bachelor party in Dec. 2012.
Jesse Louis Royster, 26, of Oxford, Michigan, was convicted after a 4-day trial on four counts of third degree criminal sexual conduct, which is sexual penetration of an adult by force or coercion.
The charges came after a sexual assault at a condo in Boyne Mountain on Dec. 1, 2012. Royster was in northern Michigan for a bachelor party with eight other men.
Royster faces up to 15 years in prison for the felony charges.
The prosecutor said the jury deliberated for just over three hours before returning the unanimous guilty verdict.
Royster will be sentenced on May 23.
